Shanks and Dragon don't do anything because they aren't at the battlefields so theres no expectation but Yamamoto is doing nothign and in the cuck chair lol. I don't think it would be a problem if he had his own enemy to fight or something that's keeping him busy.

Author want a specific character to get a spotlight (Toshiro, Hallibel) So uh unless its yamamoto turn, then dont expect him 😂. If i have to make up a in-universe reason, yamamoto saving his strength for Aizen

He was one of the first Espada number reveals we got along with Grimmjow but I think you guys forgot/didn't notice the scene where his #10 was shown a while back. Then as it was explained this ep he's the only Espada that number changes to 0 when he releases his resurrección. And different characters have different color ceros. Ulquiorras cero was green

Harribel only fights to protect her fracción, and Starrk is literally the Espada who least wants to kill anyone or even fight. They hold back because their personalities clash against the war they’ve been pulled into it’s subtle, but it shows the cracks in Aizen’s “perfect army.” Hitsugaya vs. Harribel isn’t just an ice vs. water match. It’s a clash of philosophies. Harribel’s aspect of death is Sacrifice, and she embodies it, calm, protective, willing to bear the pain herself. Hitsugaya is a child prodigy forced into the role of a captain, someone who must shoulder responsibility before he’s even emotionally grown into it. Their fight is really about two different kinds of leadership under pressure. The Barragan scenes deepen this theme. When he explains the Espada’s “Aspects of Death,” he’s not just bragging he’s revealing how each Espada died symbolically long before they ever met Aizen. These episodes are quiet but thematically heavy. The Espada aren’t just monsters, they’re reflections of the different ways beings respond to death, fear, and purpose. And in these fights, you start seeing which characters are fighting because they want power. And which are fighting because they don’t want anyone else to die. The espada are also foils of Aizen but ill go into that later
