2021-06-16 08:23:21 +0000 UTCI am just SO frustrated with this episode. I WOULD HAVE applauded them for taking on a mental health story, if it was even done remotely well, but this wasnt. Whats worse is, literally THIS SEASON they had a character who was already dealing with fallout from a major life issue (being stuck in the mirrorverse), who hasnt really had a storyline, despite being the lead female, who you COULD have delved further into her story for this storyline, and not have had to invent a new trauma for a character.... but nope, drop this arc on a secondary main character instead. It was nice to see Sue back, and Chester I felt had a solid episode, like you said, Cisco made mistakes too, he just has to learn from them. Joes speech at the end, of course, 1 of the few bright spots of this episode, but I felt it could have delved deeper, or said more. I just think whoever wrote this episode, didnt have any experiences to draw from to build this story out of, and guessed based on reading some articles what to say. Lastly, its always nice when Grant Gustin comes by for a couple scenes. They should consider giving him an episode of his own like all the other characters have gotten.
