Crazy how I've never seen the anime but after watching episode 3 of this adaptation I just knew they messed something up. It just started to feel off.

I agree with y'all to give credit where credit is due...choice of actors & actresses, set pieces, fight choreography, CGI, personalities of the group (especially Kuwabara) were all on point. But the story ruined it for me. I watched all 5 myself before watching your reactions, and Tasha fell off at the same point I did. Once I saw what they did with Genkai and the Spirit Wave Orb...my heart sank. It had potential and they messed it up. I also don't believe that the writers of this script were really fans of the anime. Because if they were, they would not have left out, rushed and skipped the meaningful parts that they did. Disappointing.

2023-12-18 04:27:31 +0000 UTCThey weren't planning on doing another season. I don't mind if someone can do a good adaptation. I seen the anime three times and i still like what they did. We don't need another 1 to 1 recreation of the anime. Plus who's to say that the Dark Tournament was gonna be good live action anyway. Let's just get the anime back and remasterd, or hell even a videogame. The only negative i had for this show, was that it should've been 8 episodes maybe.
