I can't tell if he was an overly sensitive child or if the abuse from his adoptive father made him overly sensitive as a survival mechanism. The fact that he paid Su ho to protect Si eun and argued with Si eun for letting Su ho go off with gang leader guy alone. He was always afraid of losing one of them but ole girl shows up and without any real effort at all is the best of friends with them even though she was a part of the gang that beat Su ho up. I think he feels like a loser overall, and it is really unfortunate to see because Su ho and Si eun care about him, especially Si eun because he can completely empathize with him as far as the bullying goes. But when a person is negatively wrapped up in their head it can be extremely difficult to see good things around you.
