All the food Sydney was trying was almost definitely in the budget, she probably put it all on the restaurant's business credit card - she easily would have spent a few hundred dollars on all that if it was coming out of her own pocket. Several of the restaurants in this episode are real restaurants, and the grey-haired guy wearing the scarf is a well-known Chicago restaurant owner named Donnie Madia (that scene was shot in his actual restaurant, avec).
