Izuru, Momo, and Hisagi are the lieutenants of those squads and were acting captains until Rose, Shinji, and Tensei took back their captain spots. The other Visoreds are still in the world of the living. The LN The Death Save The Strawberry was about what happened on Rukia’s side of things during those 17 months and it showed what happened with the Visoreds that decided to be captains again and the ones who didn’t.

And y’all have to make sure to watch the Official first trailer! Not the teaser, but the first trailer! It’s the best one and the most hype! And I would suggest watching the filler arcs on your off time if you want because they were entertaining.

I suspect you found Ginjos motivations somewhat flimsy. You probably felt the same way about Tosen. It isn't uncommon for casual anime watchers to view Tosen as a simp who was overreacting . Just know that with characters like Ginjo and Tosen you are missing HUGE context.

Also I don't think y'all noticed but Rukia became lieutenant during the 17 month timeskip. Regarding the Vizards becoming captains again, all of the Vizards that are captains again returned to their previous squads. So Rose (the long haired blonde guy) became Captain of squad 3 again (replacing Gin), Kensei became Captain of squad 9 again (replacing Tosen), and Shinji became the squad 5 captain again (replacing Aizen)
