This confederate statue issue came up where I'm from...Charlottesville, VA. Unfortunately, a peaceful rally ended with a young woman being killed by a white supremacist driving his car into the protesters. SMH!

As someone who is mixed race (black and white) Never knew any of this I was confused about what Juneteenth even was learn something new everyday. I remember seeing people egging the confederate statues back when Covid first started so I wonder if they took inspiration from that. Same I'm trying to get out of America too things are too scary here.

2023-06-19 16:56:45 +0000 UTCAlso, I wanted to point something out about Texas School Curriculum: I graduated from Allen High in 2017 and I turn 24 next month. I remember taking Texas History in 7th grade, and U.S History in 8th grade and 11th grade. Luckily for me and my class, they implemented that, instead of learning Calculus in 12th grade, you can choose Financial Math as a credit. This class was everything: credit score/credit cards, insurance, 401K, mortgages, buying cars, making budgets, etc. All schools should have this class!
