A couple of things make me question it: 1) He asked her if she was hungry and then read her mind and he said always, then when she sat down she was looking at the pizza. Also, when he stuck his hand out to make the deal, her hand was lower than his making me think she took a slice of pizza instead. 2) If she made a deal with Mephisto, why was she trying to work on magic in the shop and why did she seem surprised that Natalie came back. I think she denied him and decided to try to figure how magic works in a scientific way because earlier in the season she mentioned something like “magic is just science that hasn’t been solved” or something.
