I actually like the showβ granted I never read to source material. But still I find it enjoyable.

Tre,I did some digging on why some people are complaining about it. (I actually like it and have been watching on my own and here with you both reacting on Patreon.)
The complaints are weird ones but then again, I guess you can't please everyone. I remember you and Tasha said it best, during one Friday Live, that everyone wants that super bang out first episode/season and want that kick ass action, edge of you seat anime. Anything not that, they whine and bitch about it. Like you both said, everything can't (and shouldn't) be Attack on Titan,Dragon Ball Z, Solo Leveling, Jujutsu Kaisen, MHA. It's okay that other animes have their own speed ,pace, and style.
Anyway, here's what I found:
Viewers are complaining about the anime adaptation of "The Beginning After the End" due to concerns about the animation quality, the shift in tone, and the lack of humor in the opening compared to the manhwa and other media. Some fans also feel the first episode wasn't as engaging as they hoped, and the anime didn't capture the humor and charm of the original work.
Here's a more detailed breakdown of the complaints:
Poor Animation Quality:
Many fans have criticized the animation, with some describing it as slideshow-like or even worse than generic Isekai shows. The animation quality has been a major disappointment, especially for those who were excited to see the manhwa adapted into an anime.
Shift in Tone:
Some viewers feel the first episode had a different tone compared to the manhwa or other mediums, and this shift was not well-received. The lack of humor in the opening episode, for example, was a point of contention.
Lack of Engaging First Episode:
Some fans felt the first episode didn't capture the humor, charm, and overall engaging nature of the manhwa. They were expecting a more captivating start, especially given the popularity of the manhwa.
Compared to Solo Leveling:
Some viewers have used the high success of Solo Leveling as a benchmark, noting that TBATE needed a similar level of execution to survive in today's anime landscape.
Concerns about the Future:
Some fans are concerned that the poor animation quality and the perceived lack of humor in the opening episode could deter potential viewers and lead to the anime being unfairly compared to other, possibly less successful, Korean adaptations.
