Video player update!
Added 2020-05-11 10:14:00 +0000 UTCBig update about the video player over on bigmaxwolf.com! At the start of this month I overhauled that system but the quality selector was lacking and wouldn't always select the highest possible quality.
My husband FoxCouncil has cooked up an amazing VideoJs plugin and opensourced his work! The project is called videojs-max-quality-selector and solves all of the problems I was having with the other quality selectors out there.
Using this system I am able to tell it to always select the highest possible quality on the videos but still also offer auto down-sampling for those that want it! Now when you watch 4k videos it will always pick the highest resolution.
Same for 360 VR videos when viewing them it will select the highest quality right away which makes for a much better viewing experience.
