Hey everyone!
I’ve been hard at work getting Weather 3.4 tuned with Snowymoon V2 across two lighting options, C and D, and I’m excited to finally share some progress.
The Weather 3.4 version is nearly finished—the toughest challenge was fixing the overexposure and harsh contrast of the skyboxes. Before, this caused very sharp cloud textures that looked immersion-breaking, especially during what should be a beautiful evening sunset. Now that most of these issues have been optimized, the visuals feel far more immersive and natural. I’ll be sharing a few evening preview shots very soon so you can see the difference.
I’m also getting closer to pulling all versions together, and I’ll continue posting updates on the progress in the coming days.
It’s also worth pointing out that Weather 3.4 brings a wide palette of skyboxes and climate-based color variations. This means some skyboxes can show very drastic lighting changes—but honestly, this might turn out to be a big plus, as it extends the gameplay options and keeps the atmosphere fresh and varied.
One thing I want to highlight: while focusing on Lighting D, I’ve noticed that many of the issues with chrome reflections and interior lighting are already fixed in Snowymoon Lighting C. In my honest opinion, Lighting C is looking stronger than ever now, as it provides more flexibility and options to balance the scene overall.
I’ll also be posting load orders and details on which mods can be mixed in with Weather 3.4 under different lighting options, this is mainly done due to Project Next-Gen normal map textures on roads overlap on lighting C (at this moment, as this could be improved in the future).

Stay tuned for previews—progress is moving fast! 🚀
