Again partially photo bash around the feet and face. put a little less effort on this one around the end but saw it through.  could of finished this earlier but really procrastinated.

Still a rather fun project! critiques and questions appreciated.

I tend to take the aesthetic of the overall build and shape of model from the morphology of the original animal. Bears going be robust, leopards going to be gracile, tigers going to be toned ext. I want the spirit of the animal to be in the anthro and I always try to make them look as "animal" as possible but still have them look believably bipedal, hence the shorter legs I give all the subjects. I enjoy cats the most but usually pick something new just to have a wack at it or to spice things up. I can't really give you an estimate of how long the fur takes but it does take some time and many layers of short/med/long/fat/skiny fur to make it look real. I have a good selection of brushes I use for this so I dont have to individually draw strands. to block large or complex patches I usually start with a low resolution photo texture that I paint over as a guide.

You always choose the most interesting subjects. Do you choose body type based on the animal your anthro is based on? What draws you to any particular anthro, or is it more of a whim? How much time does the fur take because it's always fantastic. (so fluffy!) I assume that takes quite a bit of polish to make it look that good.
