A question about expected content.

I have had one complaint about the way my work has changed overtime but it's a complaint that I think some others might feel aswell so I would like to listen to my followers. the concern I read about was that my artwork has turned from anthropomorphic too a much more feral form, a sentiment that I will not deny. For those that have followed my work from its early stages or at least know of my older work, the change over time is clear as well. there is a clear lack of upper breasts aswell as more animalstic proportions in the legs and bodies in my newer work, that my older work only had to a slight degree. because of this I can't argue that the old description for my patreon (furry/anthro related artwork) does not accurately describe my content as of late.

As a furry artist I don't consider my aim to be feral, but neither do I aim for the classic furry art style for lack of a better description. as an artist I could best describe my inspiration to be that of classic Disney animal characters or story book civilized animals if that makes sense. this is of course with the addition of a much more adult theme. since the biggining I wanted my content to undoubtedly be sexually charged but with some restraint, at least this was the idea in my head, there for I would settle with nude pinups. Early on I also wanted to blur the lines between animal and humanoid as much as I could but I was not experienced enough or learned in anatomy enough to give that aesthetic justice. now that I am more experienced with the type of aesthetic I aimed for, I feel that I may have changed in my art style dramatically and there for alienated my older followers. at least that is how I feel.

I would love to hear any thoughts however. I know I asked this a while ago, but I would like to hear what my watchers are looking for in my work.

Thank you!

Wow thanks, even blotch you say? that means alot. sadly I can't promise I will draw humans in the future as its not really something I enjoy. as for erotic situations I want to maintain an only suggestive theme, just simply naked with no arousal displayed. It's just where I want to take my work personally. What I might do in the future are duo pinups with two models interacting in a provocative but not necessarily sexual way. I just have a preference for subtlety.

As someone who is both a furry and a zoophile I am very much appreciate the feral realism in your artwork and sincerely hope that your work continues in that vein. There are a vast, unlimited number of artists that produce so-called anthropomorphic art consisting mainly of human bodies with very limited animalistic add-ons. You belong to a much higher order of artist, those who can accurately portray beautiful animals in wonderfully provocative erotic situations. Very few artists produce work of comparable quality, and that places you in a pantheon of the finest anthropomorphic artists along with Blotch, Hatton Slayden and others of a similar calibre. Please don't listen to those who would have you squander your time and talents on lesser works. I would be happy to consider increasing my monthly pledge (now at $25) as a means of encouraging you to continue your artistic evolution toward realism and feralism. I would also be very interested in seeing you produce works portraying humans interacting erotically with your feral or animal characters.

With my latest projects I have pushed for rather feral designs not just in body shape but in pose aswell. Even my older projects have a focus on smaller legs and longer bodies but the posses are less animal. I feel like working on some standing and on-back poses to get back to the more anthro aesthetic without having to change to much in the way of proportion. I will always give my females larger hips in that regard but I could perhaps every now and again add some boobage.

I mean, you can always get really weird and do both at the same time! >:D Nah, but in all seriousness, I personally prefer your more anthromorphic pieces. However, I started following you more for your realistic attention to detail than anything else. I loved the way you detailed fur and and structured your subjects' anatomy more anything else. So while my favorite pieces of your are still things like your doe or husky, I have also enjoyed things like your polar bear and fossa. Honestly, maybe alternating between more humanoid subjects and more animalistic ones would satisfy both camps, but more importantly, I think you should just draw whatever you are in the mood for as it will keep you motivated as an artist more consistently. So I guess the TL:DR of my feedback would be; ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Draw what you feel like drawing?

Littlebrowndog

Have to say, I like your addition of feral. I am all about a certain amount of realism in things. Even in anthro art I'm going to preference belly nipples etc over upper breasts, or a proper sheath/peen than something that looks like it was ripped off a human and tacked on. But overall I say keep doing things you enjoy.

Well luckily I prefer females myself from a point of attraction so I tend to draw them more, but as an artist I also like to work on the other sex to try something new.

Angel e mendez

See I also aimed at making that image semi feral but I suppose the sitting up pose is what gives it a more humanoid look. perhaps I could do more cropped close ups such as that in the future.

I started supporting because I liked the way a lot of your female models drew the line between pinup and provocative. I also rather much like the way your art runs the spectrum from anthro to feral, something a little different each time. I also appreciate how I feel like your fur and shading have improved over time. The only times I have ever been "disappointing" with your art was on male images, not so much because art was bat, but because that's now how I roll

I personally like to have an even mix of feral and anthro. The first picture of yours that I saw was the 'Lounging lion' image, which is what got me to follow you, and eventually start supporting you through patreon, and I'd be lying if I said that I didn't miss that style. Don't get me wrong, I love the feral art lately! I just have to admit that the aforementioned image is still hands down my favorite of yours, and I'd like to see more of that style thrown in the mix every so often.

Keitaro_Taru

I am sure to draw those less than subtle images in the not so far future.

Angel e mendez

The reason I started to support you here was that you're one of the few artists out there that draw females I like, just the right blend of anthropomorphized feral goodness.

Tinsel

You are the only artist I know with a unique blend. My favorite works of yours have been the wolf girl and the dhole. I feel like those both captured the wild feralness as well as a touch of human. I have been holding on waiting for more works like those. I like the images that also leave nothing to the imagination ; ) . To be honest while I appreciate images like the rat you are working on with all that fur, when a subject is standing you can't see much. This is just my opinion and I know others won't agree. Either way still a big fan.

oops

That's just the honest truth. I try my best to mix both feral and anthros but am often swayed by the votes of my followers in one direction. I try to work in a grey area but that just makes things more difficult as some people just want one or the other.

Angel e mendez

Most of your work has had top breasts. I was surprised when bottom teats won the last poll. It seems you're attracting more feral-fans and your anthro-fans are getting out-voted. It's up to you where you go with this. That's the problem with doing polls: they can drive you in a direction you don't want to go, which ultimately results in a reinforcement loop. Keep drawing ferals and you'll get more feral fans and then every poll will trend toward feral. Personally, I like feral stuff, and it's really nice to see someone drawing it with such a sense of realism. This is a niche with very few people working in it right now, so it makes sense that you'd gain a following here. But ultimately it's up to you what you choose to draw, and what poll options you choose to give us to vote on. Don't let us control you. Ultimately Patreon should give you the freedom to do what you want with your art, not make you a slave to your fans.

Kalu

jup, I'm here for the feral stuff too :)

I'll echo what others have said here: I love your hybrid anthro/feral style. But then, I love feral anyway, so I'm biased. ;3 I'll admit, it was your more feral-looking pieces, namely your bear, fossa and thylacine, that convinced me to start supporting you here, but, ultimately, I like your style. Period. Whatever direction your art evolves in, it's the caliber of work you do that impresses me the most.

Ferox

I don't speak for everyone of course, but I like the feral stuff!

TonyWah

If you need to mix it up, that's cool too. I like the feral and even 'realistic animalistic looking' design you do. S'why I'm a patron after all. Reminds me of the Webcomic "Slop" by Mulefoot.

StripeyArse

I like feral anthropomorphic style better then the just the anthropomorphic. I love how you mix up. I don't think you have to change your style at all.

ren andrews

I only recently joined and your more feral style is what has drawn me in.

I like a more feral like style when it comes to less commonly drawn species such as the current rat or things like bears. While I won't mind a feral style on more commonly drawn species such as canines or felines, it's not really a preferred preference for those two.

Radiant Claw

Love your artwork as always, was originally atracted to it due to the mix of feral and non feral, if you sway towards more feral I don't mind, if you sway towards non feral I don't mind. So long as you keep the mix of both, it's what make me like your work. But by all means, above all, do what you feel like, it's your time, and your artwork.

Noll Mieramar

I usually like the more feral style, but all your pieces have been very good. It's been fun to see you try different things, though.

Orsuros

I like all of your work. I personally prefer art that leans towards the animal side. The recent skunk and goat, for example. Really excellent. But it's all good and I won't disappear if you swing the other direction for a while, too. I like high quality stuff and that's what you do. Thanks!
