F1 Game History #01 - Formula One Grand Prix (1992)

PATRON ONLY YOUTUBE LINK:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5TiZHslwEo

Hello Patrons! Danny here.

As promised here is the first episode of my Let's Play series where I introduce and play a new classic Formula One game each episode. Like all episode, this was put to a vote so it's no surprise that the winner was Geoff Crammond's 1992 classic "Formula One Grand Prix".

This being an old DOS game it's actually available to play on abondonware websites. You can even play it in your browser right now via this link; https://www.freegameempire.com/games/Formula-1/Run-in-browser

We'll have another episode up later this month so keep your eyes out for a poll in the coming weeks.

Do you remember playing Formula One Grand Prix yourself? Let me know your thoughts on this classic game in the comments below.

Danny! That Intro, c'est magnifique!

Great video remember playing Grand Prix 3 in my younger years, would love to see Nigel Mansell Grand Prix or F1 97

About the end of the Spa lap in 1991, that bus stop chicane was (after they moved the start/finish line in 1983) the end of the lap from 1981 to 2006. It got a couple of reprofile and redesign attempts in the early 200s before they just gave up and replaced it with the chicane we have now. Which people still call the bus stop much to the annoyance of people who care about the distinction between Eau Rouge and Radillon

Yea buddy! It would be cool to set up a Shift F1 league in F1 2018 on xbox or potentially a stream or time to set up some online races with fellow patrons.

I just bought a boxed copy of this game for DOS a few days ago! Perfect timing! Great video, Danny!

This seemed almost impossibly realistic at the time. Wonder how it stacks up now? ;)
