Where I want to go.

I had enough time to think about where I want to take my artwork and I decided I want to stick with that level of ambiguity. I considered the idea of working with different levels of anthropomorphism but I personally find it more intriguing in every sense to work with more animalistic forms. So what is to be expected? Well it's been said, semi feral/anthro creatures. I want to blur the lines between 4 and 5, that means very often no large breasts (an exception for the ursine species) and as I like to put it: Feral vertical proportions with more anthropomorphic lateral ones. This means from profile the models should be almost unmistakable from there animal counterparts except for a slightly larger rear, but from a frontal view larger hips, tighter cores, and wider more dexterous shoulders should give away the anthropomorphism. Another thing I want to add is that even though I enjoy making my content erotic in nature, I do wish to work on less suggestive nudes as well.

I just wanted to make it clear for any followers and supporters that wish to stick to watching my work progress.

Thank you!!!

I realize I'm a little late to the party on this, but I wanted to chime in and offer my support. I'm glad to see you're taking your work in this direction. Hybrid tier 4/5 is what I used to do back when I considered myself an artist, so I can appreciate your choice a lot. Tiers 1 - 3 are, in my opinion, a dime a dozen: there are tons of fantastic artists who focus on one of those three tiers. Not nearly as many focus on four or five, and only a scant few of those have your skill. :3

Yes, something like that is sort of what I was thinking of doing. subtlety is the keyword I think.

If I might interrupt this fascinating discussion and return to the matter at paw: If you wish to maintain a level of suggestive sultriness without devolving to base genital depictions, might I suggest you try rotating the the figure 180 degrees so that s/he is facing the viewer, either belly up the but with the genitals mainly hidden from view, or belly down but perhaps with either the hindquarters raised or even just the tail raised somewhat provocatively. Poses of that sort would allow you to develop the unique personality of each character in the way you develop the upper body, and the face in particular. Such poses would demonstrate that true eroticism and desirability derive their meaning and value from more that just base physical displays of sexuality. Just a thought...

I mean to say 4 is very furry and 5 is just an animal.

I've seen these scales and usually five doesn't say something as basic as "Very Furry" :'D

Littlebrowndog

I could be mistaken but the scale does say something to that effect. the second one being slightly furry 3rd being furry, 4 and 5 being Very furry, and animal respectively.

1 is not even furry

ChawchawWolf

I concur.

Blending of 4 and 5 is what makes your art interesting and fascinating. There are plenty of furry artists doing 1, 2, and 3.

I suppose that is true, I should instead say that I want to work on full body pinups with less focus on undercarriage and more focus on displaying full body anatomy. Much like my skunk.

To the intention to keep to the feral side of furryism I give me most whole-hearted support, for reasons previously described in some detail. As to the desire to work on less-suggestive nudes, I can only say that to me, animals (real or feral) in their natural state are almost by definition suggestive, erotic and desirable. Unless you start putting clothes on your characters, they are likely to always raise my temperature, blood pressure, and a few other items of my physiology... }:>

Absolutely on board with this!
