Hey! Putting finishing touches on the scripts for a review of The Big Sick and part one of (probably) four videos on parasocial relationships. I've wanted to do an essay on parasocial interactions for over a year but struggled to condense dozens (if not hundreds) of academic articles and essays down for one video so I'm splitting it into at least four. The first video introduces and defines the concept and touches a little on the original article written about it in the 50s. I've also started an essay on guilty pleasures but I want to spend more time on it (so far I talk a lot about death!) and involve a friend of mine in the writing process.

I've really enjoyed his work for a little over a year and more recently we became friends and mutual fans and even MORE recently he asked if I wanted to do some work on an upcoming series of his. I'm very excited. I'll still be able to keep up with my own work here no problem so this isn't any kind of "I'm taking a break"-style announcement- it's more an "I'm excited!" announcement. Also (obviously) none of y'all will be charged for anything videos I cut for him/anything that he pays me to do, haha.

I joined him for a twitch stream a couple of days ago that was really fun if you want to check that out (the two videos from the 25th here which prob also have strong language and Hbomb yelling because he's bad at chess https://www.twitch.tv/hbomberguy/videos/all ).

I'm mostly excited about being able to work with one of my favorite people on youtube but also excited about having a more consistent revenue stream on top of topping $200 here ALONG WITH the possible audience bump I'll get from working with Harris. It will also come with a lot of weirdos (he does a lot of media analysis but many of his videos critique/make fun of white nationalist, antifeminist, anti-SJW, etc types) but I already get weirdos so whatever!
