2018 horror games video update

So! I have been working more on the big 2018 horror game video (also working on full version of the Scruggs and CYOAM videos and other stuff but tonight mostly the horror video haha). I think it would be fun to play 100 games and do a big review video (I have 80+ games tentatively picked out and have played 15 so far). The further I get the more I find very short horror games made as experiments or for jams and it's fun to sift through them. I do NOT want to review every game individually, because that would get exhausting and repetitive, but give fuller reviews of the games I really enjoy or that stood out and commit time to them and have offhand mentions of others grouped together (for good or bad things- maybe neat visuals or sound in an otherwise boring game, maybe the bad YOU WERE DEAD ALL ALONG!! plot twist twine games, if any end up being grimdark or edgy, etc- it's fun watching patterns emerge!). I don't know if I'll even brand it as a 2018 video since it'll probably come out in full in January, but I like the idea of recommending small obscure games and also talking about annoying patterns/weak spots that emerge in recent super indie horror stuff.

I'm probably defining "horror" as 1) meant to frighten or evoke unease or 2) involving tropes traditionally associated with horror or horror-adjacent concepts (like Halloween). So loosely enough to include a lot of different types of games.

So far Detention is easily the best one, but that's kind of expected haha. Moko's Advice seems to not have been played by many people but I really loved it. You play someone giving yes or no advice to a bunch of eerie, obscured, shadowy creatures and what seems like a good or simple answer is often subverted in funny or creepy or upsetting ways. Would highly recommend that one. And of course David Lynch Teaches Typing is also awesome but I played that one a while back and it's a little less obscure.
