Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community is a book on the death of American community bonds that I need to finish reading for the essay. It's like 500 pages and extremely dense (by comparison Utopia of Rules was a much quicker read). I would love to try to finish it by the end of the month and briefly review it like I did Utopia of Rules though. Even if I don't finish it I'm sure I could get through enough to write something substantive.
Some other options I thought might be fun are doing a little overview of the Dario Argento movies I've seen (Deep Red, Suspiria, Tenebrae, Bird with the Crystal Plumage) plus maybe a couple new ones, speeding up the refined edit of the Nick interview (remember, there's a full rough available already!) or writing about homoeroticism in Justified. I'm also open to suggestions.
As always thanks for the support! I have another freelance gig most weekdays now and some other random gigs and am doing my best to balance everything. I'm enjoying the work though and so excited to see this essay come together :)

I've seen Suspiria like six times and Deep Red a few times but I've been watching his other stuff! Saw Bird with the Crystal Plumage and Tenebrae really recently, want to watch a few others and compare and contrast now that they're all fresh on my mind (except Suspiria which I've seen so many times I don't need to rewatch lol)
