3D art interest poll
Added 2018-05-18 18:27:45 +0000 UTCMy sudden infatuation with 3D programs and art and the time I have spent on them has had me a little worried as too what patrons think of the sudden switch of work. this poll is just to gauge interest in 3D artwork
Thing is, I have been considering switching to mostly 3D artwork with hand painted textures. I feel I can work on a model a month and get them set to pose in any way one wishes. This may again rip into my 2D art time. I do plan on keeping the same style in my current art in my 3D artwork, and make my 3D art look alot like my current art by using the same techniques I use for texturing and lighting.. It still remains to be seen however, as the current dingo project need to be done.
please leave comments if you have any.

I know a few of those, Photoshop has some good tools though, and I am famllier enough with the program to hand paint my own textures.. that includes editing normal and spec maps.

A good texture can make even a poorly done model look pretty good. Next down on the important list I think would good organic posing. if its posed like a department store manikin its going to feel very fake. If you are looking for some texture tools take a peek at Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and Bitmap2material.

You've reached such a high level of quality and detail, it's great to see you branching off, it's natural. If you can find balance between 'em styles, but most importantly, something that makes you happy, then it's fine! I'm fine, all fine, finito! lol

2018-05-18 20:29:34 +0000 UTCYour 2D art is some of the best out there, and 3D art just never looks as good as 2D no matter how good you are (just something about 3D is inherently less expressive), so I hope you don't entirely forego 2D for it!

2018-05-18 18:57:38 +0000 UTCI love your art. I think the 3D stuff sounds good too and could be the next evolution of your art. Just don’t forget to give a little love your 2D works as well. I’ll still be here regardless of what you choose to do.
