Added 2018-10-08 01:00:21 +0000 UTCThis one is not a specific arkkin. more of a concept really, I wanted a blank setting as I don't know how I want to size these creatures, I know I want them big but not sure how big. I put a lot more Photoshop work in this one than my previous projects as I had a hard time getting the textures right. Tell me what you think about this thingy!

2018-10-09 04:13:50 +0000 UTCIm really happy there is interest in these creatures! well, I have alot of crazy ideas about them, mostly stuff that sounds like an SCP article, though not what I was aiming for. I know I want to have some sort of multi universal sifi thing going on with them for sure as well as a few trippy reality bending stuff. I could go on about a few ideas but there are many of them and they are not set in stone. if you want il list a few fancy things that come to mind. I do want to add that if you stare at the eyes to long your mind starts to play tricks on you.

2018-10-08 17:45:01 +0000 UTCNot sure yet, still have this loose idea floating around my head about them being a physical manifestation of higher dimensional beings that take the form of this creature. they can occur through natural birth or through a time space anomaly. they exist as 1 part animal and 1 part symbiotic anomaly that is connected with the body of the creature. another idea is that some manifest out of the ether with memories of human individuals that have departed, with recollection of names and all. from this, they can reproduce to create offspring naturally without this phenomenon however.

It remains one of my singular favourite looks on any creature I've seen so far, and coupled with that perfect shade of blue and balance with black, Arkkin are just generally up among my favourite creatures overall. ♥ Also, bit tangential, but I would comment much more intelligently and ask more of the questions that would occur to me, if I commented when not tired... but I'm never not tired. There's so much about these I wanna know, though! More or less... everything; have you ever considered writing up a description or wiki page?
