I am very grateful! semi hiatus
Added 2021-11-15 17:39:53 +0000 UTCI am usually unsure where I am going with my artwork and what more I could do to make a living off of it, but as of late I have really been mulling over how I want to approach these goals. I have become rather exhausted as of late, unsure if I should just go all out into NSFW art at the risk of not making artwork that everyone could enjoy or focus more on SFW art, at the risk of losing the support that I have.
Make no mistake, I am incredibly grateful for making some income off of Patreon, but I have been at this for 5 years and am only able to survive with the help of my family as this is the only income I make. I dreamed of making a living off NSFW art years ago when I posted my first anthro artwork in e621, but more than 5 years later I am scrounging by.
Again, I am grateful for the supporters that I do have, but realistically, whatever choices I am making in my "art career" are not working out. Could have been because I went feral, could have been because I went 3D, could have been because I make original content - I take a look at successful artists to figure out what choices they make and in short, the changes I would have to make would be selling my soul. I don't want to do freaking pokemon content!
The reason I started going safe for work is that I feel that I am likely to achieve something in the long run since it is a more broader appeal, while I feel my sort of NSFW content is simply not appealing enough to achieve something close to a living in the long run.
ALL this to say, I have been taking it slow this month as for as the NSFW goes, because I am focusing on a large SFW Project. A fancy new nude canine model IS in the works. This model posted below, will likely get a pose at the end of the month, and is also available as a .blend for 5$ tier patrons!
Comments
I could do that, once I save for a GPU, since most of the time spent on blender now is slogging through the 3D scenes.
