Living Cocoon, Acolyte of the Glass Tarantula (also news/ you won't be charged next month!)

Hi everyone!!!  I'm sorry this is late again, last month really set me back, and now I have a huge freelance workload, so it's been hard to find time to do anything else.  I am taking next month off from patreon/ not charging people for next month, so i can finish up my other work and reset a bit.  Plus it's my birthday month haha. Just been sort of overwhelmed, and hopefully that will give me time to catch up, and finish up my other work. So you won't get any stuff, but you won't be charged, and then we will resume with normal stuff in march :)

Right now i'm working on a REALLY COOL sort of Vampire Hunter D/ Castelvania inspired OSR adventure supplement for Old School Essentials, being put out through Exalted Funeral, and written by Diogo Noguiera.  I'm doing all the art for it and it's all in color!  Very excited!  But it's a lot of work so it's taking up all my time until probably mid next month.

Anyway, i hope you enjoy this month's character!  Everyone should have gotten their physical items from last month by now, if you haven't let me know.  Mail is still being weird/ slow.  I'll be shipping out sticker club stuff for this month soon, but postcards will be a little late again, the company has long shipping times (but the post cards are so nice!)

This month's character is light on lore/ description, but i do want to go more into the Glass Tarantula and Crystal spiders in the future.  This is a character that you would encounter within the dream.

The Living Cocoons, Acolytes of the Glass Tarantula

Writhing walls of living glass surround you.  As your eyes adjust to the light, you realize that they aren't walls at all, but thousands of iridescent crystal spiders, skittering towards you.  A huge reflective mass of many sharp legs, clinking as they crawl over one another to get to you.

Suddenly they stop, a gleaming wall of glass, that slowly parts, making way for a tall dark figure...

Once human, now a host for the crystal spiders.  Their bodies have been completely hollowed out, and now serve as a nest for spiders to lay their eggs, and are often a host to whole swarms of them.  They will protect the crystal spiders at all cost, and seek to assimilate more human bodies as cocoons, those are their only goals.

Crystal spiders are extremely sharp, and poisonous to the touch.  When shattered they turn into even smaller spiders, so the only way to deal with them is by melting them with fire.  The same goes for the living cocoons.   The spiders are able to attach themselves to any other living being and use them as a host/ controlling their body as a puppet, and eventually using them as an egg sack, before devouring them from the inside out.
