Added 2024-09-03 16:01:02 +0000 UTCWhen it comes to Star Wars The Acolyte, some can’t help but wonder if the Jedi are cops that got complacent from too much unchecked power and resources at their disposal thanks to the Republic. But compare the actions of Sol, Indara and Vernestra to the actions of real life law enforcement that causes the avocation for the government to defund the police, and the actions of a lot if not all the jedi in the Acolyte and other Star Wars stories show there’s really no difference between the two.

wow i was so excited for this video and you did not disappoint! i really enjoyed the acolyte, largely for the reasons you were talking about (though i'll admit there were many parts of the show that frustrated me, like omg even at the end we can't let adult mae & osha hang out for more than five minutes whyyyy). thanks for another insightful video!
