February Production Update

Hey Patreon, thanks for the support! We know you guys have been dying to know what's been going on behind the scenes these past months and we are ready to give you guys a weekly sneak peek past the curtains. Big things are happening so prepare yourselves for it. <3

Here are February's updates:

FILM:

- Pre-Production phase is 100% COMPLETE. We spent the good half last year locking in the animatic-- going through 3+ versions of it, onboarding our team, directing Miguel's Voice Actor + recording his lines, and solidifying the look of the film from rendering out character sheets to color keys. We spent a lot of time on this phase to ensure a smooth run for the next phases of production and now that's out of the way, we've shifted 100% of our focus onto animation + editing.

- At this point 20 cuts are fully animated. The opening of the film is locked in and we've got the spicy bits well underway. >:]

- As animation scenes are being turned in, we've got post-production rolling with compositing taking place to match the characters palettes to the BGs and editing to start March.

TEAM:

- We've expanded our team by bringing on a couple more artists. What initially started in July as a 10 person team has now tripled in size.  And what initially started with 1 director has now grown to 4 directors with Hataui0 on Zine, Devils.Loom on Voice, SaintNueva2099 on Animation and MysteryAnimator being the Lead.

- And last but not least, we've launched our Patreon launch for exclusive BTS content + a Voiced Strip Game for Miguel. So please comment down below what you want to see him do and whether you've got any questions for us about anything related to the film!

Alexandra asked: What’s been the most surprising thing about the project?

Mystery: "The most surprising thing about the project can’t really be solidified to just one singular event/moment- matter of fact it’s super surprising that this project is as far and as big as it is. If I genuinely talked about everything I am surprised by, you’d get a whole 30+ page essay so I’ll sum it up into two points.

I’m surprised by the massive support I’ve gotten, that's for sure. I didn’t realize that lots of people would be interested in this- then again, it’s Miguel so, I really shouldn’t have. Yet again, seeing the amount of fans rally and go “yes that is cool! Do it! Do it!” is super motivating and heartwarming!

I’m also super super surprised at all the people willing to help out, be batshit crazy with me and make this way bigger than I initially planned. In a very very very good way that . The quality of Enrapture literally jumped because I wasn’t doing it alone + had people who actually specialized in those areas that I had fallen short on. Surprised but hey we are now all friends who bully each other from time to time. I am literally forever in their debt and I am always immensely inspired by what they can do :D"
