VR Headset Poll
Added 2021-05-03 08:44:55 +0000 UTCThere has been a surge in subscribers. Almost double the amount and thus I need to gauge once again what headsets people use. As I've mentioned before, the latest v0.9 uses OpenXR and greatly reduces binding hassles (no more SteamVR input mapping) and it has so far worked wonderfully. However there may still be a need for special service for certain headsets. Time to find out.
Beta v0.9d was delayed for 4 more days just to iron out some last minute bugs and also to record a new YouTube tutorial video.
What headset do you have? (Check all that apply)
I've been asked if this will ever receive native Quest 2 support. The answer is "not anytime soon". Viva will first be a desktop app. You can still play it via streaming.

I think it is worth adding to the FAQ that version 0.75 is needed (at least until a version without these problems is released). at first I tried to apply the tips from the FAQ for version 0.8 (the latest at that time) and it cost me a lot of time and nerves xD because it didn't work at all. Anyway, thanks for your work. I'm not going to unsubscribe because I like what you do :) good luck with that

2021-05-03 10:21:46 +0000 UTCI had a lot of problems trying to stream Viva to the Quest 2 from my PC using Virtual Desktop, and could not get it to work properly. That was earlier in the year. I will try again with the most recent version of Viva.
