Beta, spoilers, streaming and video recording
Added 2025-09-27 17:51:37 +0000 UTCI do plan to allow streaming, video recording and publishing of whatever happens in Plazma Burst 3 closed beta version.
Considering that, should I try removing anything that could be deemed as story mode spoilers in closed beta? Including weapons, vehicles made for story mode, gadgets, some of skins.
At the same time showing more could be considered a better feedback and take less time to prepare beta. Could be more interesting to participating players/map makers too ^
I'm personally neutral on this. Maybe I'm biased because I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for years.

Also, even though we do seem to have pretty chill people here this still can be relevant for some people:
- Beta does not have moderation/censorship/banning/reputation system;
- Multiplayer servers will be only hosted by players (no official servers for now). Which means server owner could obtain connected player's IP address and so can connecting player obtain IP address of a server owner.

Properly simulated water via particles and flowing segments seemed to have a way too high performance impact, which could have made game unplayable on low end devices so I dropped those ideas rather quickly. It will be possible to make liquids movable in a similar way they are movable in PB2, not implemented though yet. Liquids are essentially a 3D blocks that wave as if they were made of jello. Can't promise private test server yet - not sure if I'll have enough time to fully finish it. Will try to make one if it will be possible.

P.S: Some kind of private test server of your own making would be neat!

2025-09-29 15:56:59 +0000 UTCI think it would be best to try not to reveal entities you think will (1) be important to story mode at release with the surprise factor, and (2) be unique in function from entities previous games had. I don't think you need to be proactive in hiding this content if some beta testers show it in video or picture, as that would be a waste of your time. Just listen to your intuition on what would be best for beta testers to see and what wouldn't be. Also, by the way, I recommend you release these same polls using functions in Twitter or YouTube instead of attaching a link to the Patreon polls. It puts in place unnecessary barriers to extra data that I think you might find useful. You'll likely benefit from the extra time you put into each social media community by being equally engaged in each.
