Receiving Music Assets and Starting Hand Holding

Back from vacation. Starting off strong by receiving the very first WIP samples from the Japanese composer for the music. I have planned out the music as the following: BGM will fade between 2 versions depending on where the player is; indoors and outdoors. The melody between both will remain the same and only the instruments and tonality will change. The sample attached to this post is a WIP of the indoor version.

I am also starting the hand holding behavior for Shinobu. It has been planned using draw.io:

So far according to the graph, hand holding will need 4 animations. However, each animation will be have a right/left hand alternative so she can react to the hand in question. The behavior will also depend on Shinobu's current mood just like other behaviors. When angry, and you try to grab her hand, she will just angrily brush her hand away and make an angry face at you. Maybe walk away from you a bit too.

When grabbing her hand and she is happy, she will have 3 different animations to react from. If the player stays within range and idles, she will get embarrassed. If you pull her hand softly, she will simply walk with you while holding hands. body_handholding_happy_pull_soft_*:

There will be IK logic tied to have her hand and head so it can move dynamically. Finally, when the player pulls her hand hard or is running, she will perform the pull_hard_* animation which I have also finished:

So far I have finished 2/4 animations. I will be streaming on my Twitch animating the remaining 2 animations (angry refuse and embarrassed) tomorrow December 19th at 10:00PM PST for a couple hours. Glad to be back. Had a huge itch to continue working on this.
