As I said before, the face poking was cute and fun but I still wanted to add more polish to it. She had nice dynamic reactions but the variety of her animations wore off very quickly. To address this I made 2 new animation assets.
I first started out with a raw base of what I wanted the animation to roughly be. This was her wiping off her cheek after you touch it.

Then I spent some time getting the animation to look good. This kind of animation took long because the subtle cheek wipe is a type of hand movement that goes from parented inverse kinematics to forward kinematics as it comes off the cheek. There is lots of momentum and subtle twisting forces. Also was annoying to do the IK to FK transition. She pouts a small bit now. So it took me 2 hours.

Slapping into the game with code is a way easier task which only took about 15 minutes:

The animation is mirrored depending on which cheek you touch. With this same workflow I made another animation which is also triggered randomly whenever you annoy her with cheek poking:

Again, the animation is mirrored depending on which cheek you poke. This should do it for face poking. It feels much better now as there is more variety of animations.
Next up is tummy poking which will be very similar to face poking in terms of how it will look. The main bottleneck of development is making the animation assets since they can take a few hours to fine tune and getting to look good. But overall I've noticed I've sped up the way I animate. Which is always a welcoming sign of improvement. Stay tuned.
