I have improved how headpats work. I wanted to improve them because they were very clunky and were also my very first behavior that I wrote 7 months ago while I was learning Unity. The current (now old) version of the headpat system had some annoyances. For starters it was hard to tell what constituted as a soft or rough headpat. The region that you also had to be near was also very small. And it made your hands red/green. All of this has been addressed in today's showcasing.
To start out, headpats are now buttonless. That's right, all you gotta do now is approach her head from the top with any hand like so:

Animations have been improved as well. Here is a before and after of the idle animation. Before:

This was a really old animation and it was very stiff with hardly any movement. And now, after:

Additionally, headpatting is more physically accurate in that your hand now properly matches the surface of her head from any direction. Before:

She is also more responsive to how you headpat her. This will make it far easier to telegraph what is a soft or rough headpat. Gif below shows her reacting to me stopping halfway through a headpat:

As a small bonus, I made a new animation asset that makes her beg for more when you stop halfway through:

This one fires on a mirrored version in case her right hand is busy (so she can signal with an empty hand what she wants you to do). Another major change for the headpat system is pulling her around. It has been removed. I realized it didn't make any sense to be able to pull her around by merely cupping your hand around her big head. You can still rough headpat her and piss her off, but you can no longer launch her into space or drag her around while being mean. This should make the player rely on the proper ways to get her to go somewhere (by signaling, handholding, or using items).
As for VA sound lines, I have received the first samples for Shinobu's script. They are attached as a .wav to this post. This is what she is going to sound like. You can hear her singing while humming which is a clip that will be used for when she is idling in the bathtub. Then you can hear her snoring which is for when she is sleeping.
Speaking of sleeping, that's next on my plate. After doing a bit of bugfixing I will begin working on the assets. Shinobu will be able to sleep in the bedroom. You'll be able to poke and headpat her in her sleep and she will react accordingly. This won't be everything that you can do but it will serve as a base to add onto later after v0.4. Some additions down the road could include; caring for her when she is sick, cuddling, etc.
