Finishing Pipeline and Model Optimization

I finished fixing all the animations and began importing them back into Unity. Using humanoid instead of generic animation armatures helped a lot and am making good use of the benefits it provides. Because I had a ton of animations, I used my old Blender python script that allows me to automate all of the exporting by filename, left/right mirror anim, frame count, etc. Here is some jargon of how it looks like:

However I did run into some development bumps that made me lose a day of work. Apparently it's not that easy to just turn on Humanoid animations in Unity. I had to do a lot of fiddling and manually relinking animator nodes. It was very painful. I ran into weird bugs like this:

I didn't want to see it in VR because it looked so terrifying. Texture was not wrapping properly and model bones were all over the places.

I need another day to do some last migration to humanoid cleanup before I can get into the meat and potatoes of the bathing update. This means that over the weekend and by next devblog post, I should hopefully be posting the first progress of beginning bathing.

Anoter setback was Unity deciding to rename all my animations to the same goddam animation name and so I lost a couple hours going back in and renaming everything:

Recently I had the privilege to see someone stream first impressions of my game. I hardly get any feedback for this game and so this was extremely useful. This has added the following items for v0.5 bufixes and improvements:

+Implement a sort of attention span timer so she doesn't beg for items forever

+Implement left handed gestures

+manually put the hat on Shinobu

+tell players in the tutorial how to wave properly (it's not a BIG wave it's a short small hand shake)
