Swordtember Day 7 - Canine

Blazing Bloodhounds

Weapon (dagger, shortswords, or scimitar), very rare (requires attunement)

This set of three swords was crafted from the body of a rare, mutated, three-headed hellhound that accidentally wandered into the material realm and burned down a significant portion of Adonoa city. Typically, when a hellhound dies, its body turns into brittle cinders and ashes. However, this particular creature left behind a large, sturdy chunk of flaming coal. A demonologist named Oman Jhunkar acquired it from a group of adventurers who had slain the infernal beast. He then transformed it into several magical items, including "The Blazing Bloodhounds," which grants the user the ability to assume the form of a hellhound for a short period of time.

Bestial Stance. To activate the Blazing Bloodhounds's features, you must wield all three shortswords: one in each hand and one held in your mouth. While doing so, you can’t speak, and you can’t cast a spell, or use features that require verbal components, but you gain the following benefits:

• You gain resistance to fire damage.
• Your attack with this weapon deals an additional 1d4 fire damage.
• Once per turn, If you make two successful attacks with these weapons during your turn, you can make one additional attack using the third weapon as part of the same action. You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of this additional attack.

Infernal Hunter. As a bonus action, you can transform into a Hell Hound for 1 minute.   Your equipment melds into the new form and you can't activate, use, wield, or otherwise benefit from any of your equipment. While transformed, you retain your alignment, intelligence, wisdom, charisma, proficiency bonus, skill proficiencies, and saving throw proficiencies. You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race, or other source and can use them if the new form is physically capable of doing so. You also assume the hit points, physical statistics, traits, and actions of a Hell Hound, but you can't speak or cast spells. When you revert to your original form, you return to the number of hit points you had before transforming. If you revert as a result of dropping to 0 hit points, any excess damage carries over to your original form and you suffer one level of exhaustion. Once you used this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

It is probably not my best result because I'm quite rushed by IRL stuff, and I wish I had more time and energy to make a more solid design. Regardless, this one is also influenced by Live Action One Piece, which I recently finally watched. It's a bit ridiculous, but yeah, you wield these three swords like zoro XD
