Added 2025-09-18 03:00:28 +0000 UTCI’m excited to share the exclusive new update to Kemono Downloader: Version 7.2.0, available here on Patreon. This release focuses on giving you total control over downloads, filenames, and error handling, making your workflow smoother than ever before.
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of command-based rules you can use directly in input fields. For example, [ao] lets you prioritize archive downloads, skipping individual files when a ZIP or RAR is available, while [.su] (or [.st]) forces downloads from alternate domains if the default one is slow or blocked. You can even skip files by size using [50] to avoid tiny, unwanted downloads. These commands give you the power to fine-tune every session.
Customization doesn’t stop there — the new "Custom" Renaming Mode and Post Subfolder Formatting features let you build filenames and folder structures exactly the way you want. Whether it’s {PostID}, {CreatorID}, or date stamps like YYYY-MM-DD, you now have full flexibility to keep everything organized. The system even smartly falls back to the published date if an added or edited date isn’t available, so you’ll always have consistent naming.
Finally, error handling has been completely reworked. The new Error Dialog allows you to save failed downloads to a .txt file, reload them later, and retry them with updated settings. This means no more lost progress — you can pick up where you left off, even on another machine. With flexible retry logic and easy access to error management at any time, downloading is now more reliable than ever.

2025-10-08 08:59:11 +0000 UTCok i understand the retry system i am saying is when a file get error it retry instantly in log it dont wait so in a big log messages you will not notice it and if that file get error again and again than it will go to error dialog but i will add option in error dialog for "Auto Retry"

2025-10-06 04:44:40 +0000 UTCIt already does that when a file fails to download, it automatically retries 6 to 8 times. If it still can’t download after that, it goes into the error log. So the file is already retried automatically.
