When to postpone
Added 2022-02-17 03:57:59 +0000 UTCQuite often I'll have an idea for a drawing that exceeds my current skill level. Being the stubborn old goat I am I still push myself to try and make it look how I imagine anyways, only to realize that I should just leave it for now and come back to it later someday when I've grown enough to see what's wrong with it and know exactly how to fix it.
This one's been left alone for months, and I kind of love going back to it and knowing a bit more each time of what I'd like to do different and how to solve past problems I encountered, because it doesn't mean I failed back then, it only shows that I've grown a lot as an artist in just a few months, and that's such a nice little motivation boost tbh ^u^
I'm still not quite there yet so I'll be leaving this drawing alone for another few months I reckon, but I'm looking forward to the day when I finish it. I can't wait to see how much I've grown..!
So never berate yourself for the stuff you're not able to do right now. Don't give up on yourself, give yourself time instead. You'll get there eventually, I know you can do it <3
