Being able to see where new things are and having a location-specific menu should go a long way toward making this game feel more like a professional quality product.

I know that you are doing flashbacks but it seems like you are spending some extra effort on making new sprites for a character that is dead. Does this potentially mean that maybe he survived and will be showing up in the future?
