Patreon Discontinued the "Community" section
Added 2020-06-26 22:47:22 +0000 UTCHey all. So I've been trying for days to figure out how to turn on the "Community" portion of this Patreon Page. If you have other Patreon accounts then you know that in addition to "Overview" and "Posts" you have a "Community" page on which the members of the Patreon can post stuff and discuss things. Well, Patreon just got back to me saying that they have discontinued that element completely from all new Patreon Accounts. So it is still active in other older "grandfathered" accounts but not on brand new ones like Pod Ween Satan.
What can I say....that bums me out. I like having a forum that the subscribers can all communicate within. It's a place to send links, make suggestions, and also to complain about whatever dumb shit is going through your mind after listening to hours of us drunkenly talking about Ween. The fact that that doesn't exist anymore is lame and Patreon is weird for removing the option. They suggest setting up a Discord thing....I don't have the time for that nor do I even understand it in the first place.
So if you want to share opinions or anything you'll have to make comments on the episode posts themselves OR......you can go to the Pod Ween Satan Sub-Reddit page and talk your talk there. I know that I talked a lot of smack about Reddit in the past but I'm actually coming around to liking it now. Cut me some slack....I'm an old man and I think I thought that Twitter and Reddit were the same thing. Apparently not. Reddit has a bunch of nice thoughtful people (in the ween circles at least) so I'm accepting it into my life. I invite you to do the same. Namaste Piggies.
