😴Ideas for Sleep-Themed Audio [September 2025]

Here is the concept for September's sleep-themed audio:

You live in a world where selected adults can put themselves up for adoption.
Once your application has been processed and approved by the appropriate governmental bodies, you can travel to the inter-realm gate and be picked up by whomever has adopted you.
The trade-off is that it's a one-way trip. Once you leave, you lose 'human citizenship' and are not allowed to return. This is to prevent people from getting adopted 'just for fun,' then going back and forth :O

The other-realm being who chooses you is a mermelf (mermaid elf). Mermelves are semi-aquatic. They can walk, have large, finned feet, and are excellent swimmers. 

These beings live in verdant coastal forests, where the unique geographical features of the land and adaptive biological abilities of their trees combine to create sea-forest-scapes. Many treehomes are semi submerged, with canopies reaching into the sky, and roots deep in the seabed.

Audio start: You have been living with your mermelf for a few days now, but now you are feeling quite unwell. The discomfort is 'normal' in the sense that humans must adapt to a new environment and the slightly different air quality (an adjustment period).

As soon as your mermelf notices you are sick, she gets to work...

Submit ideas for at least ONE of the following:

+ 'Feeling quite unwell' may involve symptoms not usually seen on Earth. What could these symptoms be? 
+ Mermelves may treat sickness in a different way to humans. What might be some unique ways she uses to help you feel better? (opportunity for ASMR-inducing sounds)
+ Or...they may ALSO treat sickness in similar ways to humans, to make you feel comfortable. If you were sick, what would be something you find comforting and relieving?
+ Why did you leave Earth and what made you so sure about it?
+ Thoughts on mermelf society so far?
+ The mermelf who adopted you might not be quite 'normal' - what's weird about her?
+ You are expected to contribute to mermelf society after you settle in. What do you want to do?
+ If objects are used in this audio to induce ASMR, what would you like to hear (appropriate to the storyline)?
