Okay. So now I have my thoughts slightly more organized.
First: Steam. You can now find the game's store page here.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3796500/Succum_Brewery/
Wish lists are a big help. So is sharing the site with friends etc. I'm not good at advertising myself. I generally want the game to just standing on it's own merits so I usually focus all my updates on what I'm doing and where the game is going next. So I won't make a habit out of this. The next time I'll do a big push is when the game is actually approaching completion for sale.
Getting the page up on Steam was a really big deal. I have no idea if the game will get final approval for a store page once I get to v1.0. But considering everything going on I'm thankful the game's "coming soon page" got approved and got approved fast. So fast I wasn't emotionally prepared for that e-mail.
Second: Itch. You can find the game free on itch updated 2 weeks after the patreon update. The Itch page is updated and really sexy looking.

What is going on with Itch? Man, I don't know. The short version is you can now search adult games that don't allow payment. So no more donations on the Itch page (not that it ever made a lot of money there anyway... but still). For now the Itch page will stay up and it will stay free until something changes on Itch. Will they find a payment processor? Will other sites pop up to allow more adult content? No idea. As for me? The game will stay free on Itch till the game is complete. I might stop updating the Itch page after v0.9 or something and replace it with a free demo instead. If I do that I'll announce it ahead of time.
Third: The general state of adult games and of my... brand? I don't know what's going on with the sudden clamp down on adult games. I don't understand why different countries think it's a good idea. I could write on this at length but I don't have much to add that other's haven't already said. However, feels kind of cool to be part of an underground counter culture. I never got to be in one of those before. I was never cool enough.
What about me and the game? Well I'm not sure. If I can get on Steam and sell the final game then I'll make more games. I've got 2 pretty solid ideas worked out. I'm not sure yet if they will be in RPG Maker or if I will try to become a real dev and use a proper engine. I'm mostly a writer and had to learn all this stuff on the fly. I didn't even have a Discord or an ... X? account before all this. So I'm confident I can learn stuff as I go. I'm not sure if learning proper programming will stretch my old brain too far or not. One way or another I've got some fun ideas for some erotic stories I want to tell. If the game doesn't get approved for Steam? Then I'll finish this game, put out a v1.0 wherever I can upload it, and quietly bow out of the adult game space after having a lot of fun and learning a lot of stuff along the way and I'll go back to my traditional writing.
If you're still here after all that I wanted to thank you. This Steam thing is a big milestone and makes all this feel more real. None of this could have happened without everyone here's support and the really friendly kind community that's formed around the game. I never expected to interact with people online this much and I certainly never expected to make some actual friends from doing all this. It's been a great ride and I hope it continues.
Lime.
