I really like letting the base layer show through on my traditional paintings so I wanted to do that here too since I new it'd work well with the grays and blues I used for the skin tone.

I'm not, I'm not quite sure what you mean. The Myth Art Exchange isn't around anymore if that's what you're referring to, the folks that ran it have gotten very busy with other stuff so it hasn't been kept up sadly.
