Just a reminder, these are for APRIL, so the winning pinup will not be shown until April 30th, and the 2nd and 3rd place winners will debut in MAY! I know it's a while off, but it's a lot to look forward to too!
And as a bonus, I created the Map of the World of AlmaLu! It's a big sprawling continent named Kirlan, with a Region also known as Kirlan,( sort of like New York, New York), and with so many different towns getting mentioned, I thought a visual aide would help a lot. I've been working on it for a while now, and it's at a place I think is ready to share with everyone.
From the North to the South, there are a lot of varieties of holstaurs, and I look forward to introducing the different types to you as the story progresses!
If you're like me, a good map is like a story, one you can fill with all sorts of imagined adventures! Enjoy!!

HAHAHA! That would be pretty cool! But I think the next step is a more detailed view of Medowlyn and the surrounding area since that's where the bulk of the story takes place. But I'll have to remember to put holstaur figures around the map, maybe in Chibi form! XD Great Idea!

2025-03-22 21:17:48 +0000 UTCThanks for reading it all! Well, to answer those first two questions, it did all come from my brain, :D, but I was also inspired by real world examples. I imagined the Ragged North and Scrab to be a combination of Alaska and Norway, really rocky coasts with dramatic fjords. The Midlands is sort of like the American Midwest meets France. So that's a big influence on the topography there. Being a fantasy story, it needs to have an ancient, magical forest, and that's what takes up most of Kirlan. I worked on this for many, MANY months, so it's not like I just whipped it up. A lot of the Lore comes from looking at the map and daydreaming about what would life be like here? How are goods moved from here to there? I'm really interested in both Medieval history and science, so I fused the world with that. I've never really been a huge fan of fantasy worlds where EVERYONE knows spells, so there are a few wizards, but the base of this is very much like ours. I was also very inspired by the essays of Robert E Howard (the creator of Conan) about world building. If you have any specific questions about regions or details, I'd be happy to answer them!

It always amazes me when content creators come up with geography of the worlds they create. I don't even think you have presented us with like 3% of this map on the comics. It's so much lore, i feel for us to see all this world have to give the viewers, it's gonna be decades to witness! Or maybe i dunno jack shit how this things work hehe. You so creative!
