I'd rather be in Okinawa, clear at the other end of Japan without the fucking snow, keeping Mr. Johnson and the Juice Crew [hat tip to the heavy metal band Scatterbrain] nice and toasty warm. Of course, my grandfather on my dad's side fought in island-to-island combat in the Pacific during WWII, and he wasn't so enamored of the tropical beauty of Okinawa with all those Imperial Japanese soldiers shooting at him and his buddies. Even the Redneck Riviera, the Gulf Coast of Florida, has a polar bear plunge. Take a dip in the Gulf waters which are often in the 50s or 60s Fahrenheit--not exactly up North ice cold, but still quite a weenie shrinker. Growing up in Florida, I got used to cold spring water between 68 to 72 degrees in Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest in North Central Florida. Excellent work on Penny and Ess being too hot for that snowman. Yes, it would be nice if this magazine were real.
