News! April, 10th

Hello everyone! ๐Ÿค—

It's been a while I didn't post any news so here they are ๐Ÿ˜›

After I finally launched the full CC collection for my Dark Academia Collection in collaboration with KateSimblr, I wanted something a little bit lighter ^^ And as spring is my favourite season, working on a garden collection was obvious!

I firstly start with this photo as inspo and tried for (too many) days to create my own stone borders, topiary, bushes, etc... The truth is the low poly results were too ugly to be shared, and the high poly models were too risky even on my best computer. So, sadly I simply gave up but maybe one day I'll be able to create exactly what I had in mind ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคฉ

Instead, I focused my past few days on the Pergola/Kiosk. I founded this one as inpo:

And then, it became this with Shapr3D:

As always, I have spent several hours fixing the issues I had in-game, reducing polycounts, uv-mapping, etc... ๐Ÿ˜‚ and tadam...!

I hope you'll be happy too with this new coming CC ๐Ÿฅณ

What will you prefer the most?

1 = No news posts until I fully launched the next Romantic Garden Collection

2 = You prefer to be updated with news posts in between

PS: (I'm copying what I replied to Ivy):

I'm asking this question once again not because I don't want to create News posts (I LOVE IT ๐Ÿ˜) but because I'm scared of 2 things: 1/ Maybe some Patrons don't want to be spoiled but prefer to keep the surprise for the release, and 2/ I can't guarantee what I'm showing you on my news posts will effectively be released one day. Sometimes I have an issue I don't know how to fix, sometimes it takes me too many days of work to continue. So, maybe because of news posts, some of you will be disappointed. That's why I'm asking once again to be sure ๐Ÿ˜› absolutely not because I don't want to, it's the opposite ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Let me know in the comment ๐Ÿ˜‰

I wish you all a very nice Sunday and thank you so SO much for all your amazing support โคโคโค

Thank you so so much, Barb! Your comment helps me realize that in fact, you're right! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ My work as Sims4Luxury is officially declared and registered as "Artisan spรฉcialisรฉ de Design" and I still can't believe it! Without your support and in general TS4 community I don't know if it would be the same ๐Ÿ™ Thank you so much โคโคโค

I think you have every right to call yourself a Graphic Designer! What you are doing is clearly graphic design in my book.

Panda ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿฅฐ Thank you!! I hope you'll find them useful for your lovely builds ๐Ÿคž Full love โคโคโค

That is really sweet of you to take this into account ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™ I'll find the right balance to suit everybody the most I can โค๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜˜

Thank you so so much Barb ๐Ÿ™ Oh you're a retired graphic designer? ๐Ÿคฉ I wanted to become one since I'm a child but due to health issues, it never happened. That's why one day I asked myself what I could do instead and I started with creating floors/wallpapers/rugs and recolours for The Sims 4. And now that I'm not sick anymore, I was able to afford a computer in 2021 compatible with 3D modelling and I started to learn how to mesh from scratch then. I'm spending time every day on furniture shops, design magazines, Instagram, Pinterest, etc... collecting ideas and sorting them by categories. And when I have enough in a category and I feel like it, I'm starting to create a themed CC collection. But I still didn't find a full process/workflow that is working every time, for every situation so I'm still trying to improve it, do better CC but unfortunately, the more I'm improving my CC skills, the more time it takes ๐Ÿ˜ญ Thank you so much for your suggestion! โคโคโค

This is beautiful! Exciting - and perfect time for a garden set! <3 about the previews, I like them and would like for you to continue doing them <3

I love seeing works in progress but if you are feeling stressed, then it's totally okay to for us to wait to see what you have in store for us. :)

KimGM

I like seeing your work stages leading up to an item, a behind the scenes peek at your process, but I am a retired graphic designer myself, so I am interested in what inspires you and how you go about creating for Sims. Perhaps you could preface such posts with โ€œSpoiler Alertโ€ or some such wording so those of your followers who prefer to be surprised can just ignore the notice or scroll by the post.

What an amazing comment Angelika ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Thank you so so much! ๐Ÿ™โค๐Ÿ˜˜ I add a PS note to the original post to explain more why I'm asking. I LOVE writing news posts but I don't want to spoil and disappoint some of you ๐Ÿคž So happy you're excited about it! ๐Ÿฅณ Thank you so much for your idea! I'm fond of Le Petit Trianon ๐Ÿ˜

Thank you so much Ivy ๐Ÿ™โค๐Ÿ˜˜ No, it's not really extra work for me as I love sharing my process! ๐Ÿ˜ But I'm scared of 2 things: 1/ Maybe some Patrons don't want to be spoiled but prefer to keep the surprise for the release, and 2/ I can't guarantee what I'm showing you on my news posts will effectively be released one day. I love seeing what you are creating, but if it's extra work for you then, I can wait. The pergola is stunning by the way.

Ivy-rose@64

Honestly, whichever works for you! if it feels motivating for you to share your progress then I always love that! but if it feels stressful or is easier not then that's fine too! whatever is beneficial to your artistic process would be my vote! I'm excited by this idea! I can't wait to see it! If you need any inspiration I might recommend looking up Marie Antoniette's gardens at the Petit Trianon! they were stunning! and many of them were very romantic and classsical and not super formal or asture!

Angelika Keil

Whichever is easiest for you. I'm sure. I'll love it all. ๐Ÿ˜

Reese

How lovely!!! I prefer whichever is easier for you. Hugs! ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿฅฐ
