Today's here a News! post to announce you that KateSimblr and I are coming back for a second part of our Dark Academia collab 🥳🥳

The initial plan was to release together the complete collection before March, 20th. KateSimblr with a stunning build and I with a CC collection.

BUT, this plan was too ambitious so we are going to split it into 2 parts: one for the month of March, and the second one in April. We are going to make sure my CC would be versatile enough for you to use them even outside a Dark Academia theme, and modular to cover as much use as possible.

For now, 27 CC for a total of 621 swatches had been made and a LOT more need to be created before I can share them with you.

Let me explain:

18 of the actual 27 CC are for a modular wainscoting/ crown moulding/baseboards set and we need at least 9 other CC to complete this modular set.

This is the first mesh I created and is used as a base for all the other modular wainscoting items such as: 

the same mesh but 1/2 tile large, a pilar mesh we can use at corners for example,  a smaller version to use under windows of 1 tile large + 1/2 tile large version; a base crown moulding, a left exterior corner crown moulding, a right exterior corner crown moulding; and so on... 

it makes a lot of new CC but we are going to be able to use this set for any room shape without having to deal with ugly holes anywhere.

It actually took me 2 complete days to finally find the exact right measurement those corner meshes needed to be and where exactly I had to place them on the Blender grid for them to be perfectly placed automatically while in-game. Creating CC is not only about meshing and texturing 😂 You need to figure out by yourself how the game is made to make your CC works the way you want.

All those new meshes are coming in 3 versions: 1 with 9 wood alpha textures, the second with 51 plain colors textures, and the third one with 28 maxis match textures to really, deeply make this set modular and versatile.

As this collection is meant to be a Dark Academia Collection and not only a wainscoting collection, I'll need more time than expected to create other kinds of CC.

For now we have:

• Antique frames wall arts
• Round rugs with thickness
• 5 wallpapers
• A typewriter functional as a computer
• and a framed wall art functional as a TV for a complete immersion 

KateSimblr and I would love to add to this collection modular windows set (windows are not my cup of tea so I can't promise you anything); 

my kitchen with darker textures (recolor)

and many other things if possible 🤞

While I'm still open to suggestions, as we already have a loooooooooooooong list of ideas for this collection, I'm taking notes of everything but can't promise anything. Thank you for your understanding 🙏
