Using of custom sounds in animations?
Added 2019-05-24 09:27:45 +0000 UTCHi! Because of Kris' comment here I decided to make the poll about using custom sounds in animations. The point is there are both advantages and disadvantages in the use of custom sounds. On the one hand there are no special voices of sex in the game and without using of custom sounds I have to use standard game ones that might be suitable more or less. On the other hand If I use custom sounds, they are exactly voices of sex but they may sound different than balanced standard sounds even if they were tuned in sound editor and this is really might be unwanted.
So I'm asking you to look at the recent animation and decide should we use custom actor sounds in animations as well as standard sounds or we should use standard sounds only.
One more thing I want to tell you is I can also use custom sound feature in the other way, just to edit standard sounds by adding suitable variations from one sound to another or removing unwanted ones and this may increase the suitability of standard sounds for animations.

you can set the vocal range in CAS, and yes male sims can have higher register voices as some do in RL :)

2020-12-10 01:01:22 +0000 UTCI've played the sims so long I never even listen to their "voices" and sometimes I'll get a male character with a female voice and vica versa (must be a glitch somewhere in my game) so it wouldn't bother me.
