My takes on Aly's Instagram follow: He wanted to make a podcast episode on a specific topic, and upon researching the topic, came across your podcast. Upon coming across your podcast episode on the topic, he was so shocked at the high level of research AND priceless comedic delivery and banter, he was like "who are these bitches?". Then he found the LGH Instagram, saw a pic of Aly and was like "woah this bitch is hot AND smart AND funny AND looks like my ex? Let me check out her insta." Then he stalked your personal Instagram and either intentionally or accidently followed you. Did he watch your stories before you messaged him or after? Theory 1: He accidently followed you. If it was an accident, he was probably very humiliated when you messaged him because he realized he followed you, so never replied, then was like "fuck it" and started watching your stories. Theory 2: He followed you intentionally because you're hot. If he followed you intentionally, maybe he thought you wouldn't notice or put two-and-two together (i.e., him following you around the time of the release of his podcast episode on a topic covered in one of your old episodes) . Regarding his podcast, rather than working with you, he's going to use your original ideas and research to piggy-back off for his own podcast, hoping he'll get away with it, probably because he sees that you have a much smaller following than his own podcast and thinks it wont be noticed. BUT now that you messaged him, now he knows that you know about him knowing about your podcast (since he was clearly creeping your Instagram), and now he has to oblige to collaborating with you it'll look suspicious. Theory 3: He followed you intentionally because you're hot and he's a fan. This is all purely speculation, since I don't even know the person you are talking about. I also have a whole theory regarding why networks at large don't want to work with you but that's a whole bigger societal issue at large but it definitely relates to this. PS. sorry I might have been the person whose credit card was declined because I too am a "payment declined girl" .. oops
