Is Nat offensive IRL
Added 2023-05-29 15:39:47 +0000 UTCSo I am trying to get a pilates job here in ATL but I am having a hard time getting one? This is weird bc my pilates resume is legit af and I have NEVER had a difficult time getting hired at a pilates studio in LA. Also, LA is a much more competitive market than ATL, so it is a bit strange.
I began to think perhaps it is because of my ig? In LA my ig brought more opportunity, but I wonder if my social media offends people in GA? I recently had someone I just met tell me they were "worried about my political beliefs" after finding out I moved from LA to ATL. Do you guys think I am overthinking this?
I reached out to another pilates studio today, and I KNOW they are hiring because they are looking for new instructors. Should I change my ig to just pics of trucks and landscapes?

I have a friend Nat who works in retail. Customers are always saying to her, why are you calling yourself Nat like the bug? Some boomer Karens go so far as to call her Natalie even though she prefers Nat.

2023-06-22 13:19:04 +0000 UTCI just saw this! Put only relevant experience on the resume and attach a cover letter explaining the gap in employment e.g. “Took time off to give birth and raise my son. Ready to re-enter workforce now that son is entering preschool, etc” - Aly

2023-06-06 19:44:48 +0000 UTCMost places now only hire people they know or know of through contacts. Keep trying and talking to people ( one of our favorite things to do, talk to people jk😁🤢) You are a great person and a great asset to any place that hires you. Keep up the positive vibes and it will happen! I believe in you Nat!!!

2023-06-06 15:58:26 +0000 UTCAnyone (in my experience) from Georgia will tell you that Atlanta isn't actually Georgia, and that the city alone is one of the huge reasons it's a purple state. But also jobs are really hard to get right now. No matter what you do, where you are, what your experience or resume is. Places say they're hiring but they're not, businesses say they need people but make you jump through dozens of hoops. It's been really ridiculous.

2023-06-02 03:31:27 +0000 UTCHonestly, screw having to change yourself to fit in with a studio. It would be cool for you to open your own studio have other disenfranchised people and others just wanting a workout to give you money than go to some gatekeeping studio. You have fans from across the world, no doubt in my mind if you run your business like how hard you took care of your borse and family, no reason you couldn’t attract clients and succeed there too. Just sayin’ my dude.

2023-05-31 21:17:20 +0000 UTCIf you want you can always make a Pilates ig account! It’s not uncommon for people to have a professional corporate account and their regular account!

2023-05-30 21:41:39 +0000 UTCA lot of pilates/yoga studios have a stupid work culture in the South. Im not sure if its different on the west coast, but if you dont have an in somewhere its tough to get into one. Plus some of them are overrun with MLM huns as instructors. Ofc thats not ALL studios, but it may be playing a part in your struggles. Source: friend was a yoga instructor for years in GA

2023-05-30 20:15:16 +0000 UTCThe person concerned about your political beliefs is most likely religious conservative. Stick with the main stream you should be fine. Make your ig private for a while if you are concerned.
