2023-08-04 14:04:49 +0000 UTCAlso, silly thing I've picked up on from working with dressage horses, ex-racers, and polo ponies - ALWAYS act like they're an elderly lesson horse, act like you don't give a shit and you don't think they're going to do anything, they'll be less likely to pull stupid shit bc they'll be like 'oh they're not scared so it must be fine.' Easier said than done but you're actress so I believe in you 😎 That being said, you dealt with him being tangled up in the lunge rope so well - horses are bloody morons, I love them but fucking hell

Also that barn situation for him looks so good, providing them with the 'Three Fs of Equine Welfare' (forage, freedom, and friends) can do amazing things for their mental and physical health 🥰 and looking after him yourself is going to do wonders for you, you'll pick up so much knowledge and confidence just from doing the basics with him. And don't worry about knowing anything, like you said no one really does, and the thing with horses is that we're all constantly learning and discovering more things about those four-legged murder machines. And GIRL don't get me started on horse-related debt, it's the only reason I have debt! I also work with horses because I realised everything else makes me depressed and I need to afford my horses somehow

You're taking care of him when no one else was. For thr debt stuff? I just got done telling someone that I can be poor anywhere. There's poor people in France. So, theoretically, I can move to France and be poor there too. Bills will ways come and go. But there's only one Borse. ❤️

I loved her, but that didn't stop her from trying to bite me and kick me. When I got older (and taller), I wasn't as scared. I started to see Sugar as a pissed off teenager who thinks they know everything but they're stupid. Horses remind me of that. And, cuz they're HUGE, that teenager attitude is dangerous for everyone.
