I did not get the baby- am I cursed
Added 2024-02-13 22:58:51 +0000 UTCToday after barre class they were trying to be fun and had a big king cake with a baby hidden in it. I didn’t even know it was Mardi Gras and felt pretty unaffected by the whole thing. I was about to leave, but then the someone said ,“ If you get the baby it is good luck for a year.” Well now I felt like If I leave I am giving up my opportunity to have good luck for a year. I took the first piece. There was no baby in it. WTF! Does this mean I am cursed? I wish I never knew I wasn’t going to have good luck! Do you guys think the king bake baby is actually a prophetic oracle or is this all just for fun?

I made king cakes for my college students and they loved it (I teach at small college in Nebraska so they have no idea what king cakes are) I had to do dried beans instead of babies though and I did tell them they have to bring the cake next year if they get so that’s what I associate getting the baby with
