Fantastical Multiverse [1.0] Player Help

For those who are from 1.0 and use 1.0 but are trying to get their old playthroughs or use a mod to change your race and then remove 1.0.  I might have come up with a fix but I don't have a 1.0 playthrough so I am trying to see if people can confirm this solves the issue.

Right now I'm not uploading this to Nexusmods until I know it solves the problem so I will keep it here, and Ko-fi for free till I know this fixes the issue.

NOTICE

What does it do?
TLDR; It is a dummy file. It will trick the game into thinking you have Fantastical Multiverse (1.0) installed.

It has the UUID that Fantastical Multiverse uses so it will replace 1.0 and read as  1.0 did but it has nothing actually in it other than the Mod Fixer that was originally included in the file which is why I think your game doesn't load after you remove it.  The file is seen as an essential file for your playthrough which results in the infinite loading screen when it's removed from your save playthrough. You should be able to keep this in your save game as there is nothing in it that will modify any races or anything like that but it will be able to be read and allow you to access your game without all the damaged races in 1.0. Then you can load Fantastica Core and the 1.5 individual files you want to add to your game.

How should your load order look?

What if I am a race that isn't included in an individual file?

Probably should wait till that update is out or change races till that race is out, there is a change race mod on Nexusmods but I don't remember what it's called.

How would I go about using this?

no problem, i will keep the save if you need other tests

Thank you for doing the test. Hopefully this can help as many old playthroughs as possible.

Dungeons N Souls

just tested hotfix dummy, seems to be working as intended

Alexis Carpentier

Updated the file it's been added here. I'm going to upload these to Nexusmods now as well.

Dungeons N Souls

I'll make one as soon as I'm home, has another person say something similar to you on Twitter so assuming there will solve 1.0 playthroughs while I fix and readd races back.

Dungeons N Souls

ok, send me the dummy file or post it somewhere and i will tell you if it works

Alexis Carpentier

Ok, I unfortunately don't believe there is but I can also make the hot fixes dummy files and that way it's not really taking space or doing anything other than stabilizing your 1.0 playthrough.

Dungeons N Souls

tested with kalashtar btw

Alexis Carpentier

ok, so after testing a few : - having fantastical hotfix in your load order means you have to keep it too or else the save won't load - it does seem to work, i have replaced the fantastical multiverse 1.0 with the dummy and save still load - not sure if there is a way after that to remove the dummy file

Alexis Carpentier

i don't have a save for that right now but i will make a new one and tell you if it works later.
