Imo confessing to Haru doesn't mean Legoshi wants anything back from her. I get the point that it might put a burden on her but feelings aren't solved by botling them in but by talking them out. All he wants is that closure and Haru evading that makes it seem like she is conflicted about her answer. True Legoshi should have asked her right then and there instead of that bs about meeting up again tomorrow.

2023-05-14 17:45:12 +0000 UTCYeah, that's one of those cool things where sure, it's not great for Louis to get so weirdly aggressive at times. But it shows that there's more of an actual power dynamic there. She's not being viewed as an outside observer whose voice doesn't matter because it matters a ton to him, right? It matters so much that he'll even overstep his bounds without realizing it just because he actually gives a crap about what she thinks. It's kind-of a great encapsulation of his character, too, because Legosi is always holding back, trying to look weak and play himself down. But when he's with Haru, she's in control. She has the power. And, for the first time, that makes him feel the desire to be more confident and assertive. Haru forces Legosi to put himself out there to prove himself for her, and that means that they're both able to be more true to their feelings with eachother in this really weird broken way.

As cool as it is, it makes way more sense for guns to be really hard to get in Japan, which is why the Shishigumi are mostly carrying pistols. And it also explains the bamboo crossbow a lot more, too, I think. Besides, the crossbow feels more on-brand, right? I like it as his big signature weapon.

When Louis talks to her, he will pat her head and end the conversation when they disagree. Legosi will hold her arm and try to hash it out.

2023-05-10 08:30:12 +0000 UTCShe worded it weidly but the way i read Haru's comments about legoshi vs others is that others feel obligated to feel sorry and shit, essentially look down on her, the way legoshi does it is from a perspective of an equal and out of gueniuene care, he even fully sits down to talk to her on face level meanwhile others just lean towards her and look down to her to talk.

He treated her like a teenage boy treats any girl he likes, which isnt always great, but he didn't treat her like a Nice Large Carnivore is expected to treat a Small Herbivore. Didn't keep his distance, didn’t overly avoid contact (in fact overstepped a time or two in that department), didn’t treat her like she was helpless. He's interested in her as a woman, like most of the boys she sleeps with are, but the way he treats her all the time is the way she feels she's only treated when she sleeps with people when it comes to everyone else.
