Megumi Han deserves a fucking statue modeled after her and Gon... or least a Record Guinness recognition, her performance this episode was completely out of this world, in the history of anime there has never been a Rage scene so complex and so well-acted.
But a lot of people have talked about Gon in this episode so instead... i want to talk about Pitou....
It's very easy to just view this situation from Gon's perspective, how much he has fallen into darkness and how much he has lost his humanity... in contrast with both Killua and Meruem who have gained a lot of humanity. But a lot of people fail to recognize that Pitou has also gained humanity during this whole arc.
I don't blame anyone for not noticing this but Pitou has also been developing as a character, it's just that her development it's so subtle and hidden in subtext that is almost unnoticeable.
- It began in episode 108 with Meruem asking his royal guards what is his name... and she asnwers with "you can choose any name you want"... which was a really empathetic approach.
- It continued with her realizing how much Meruem cares for Komugi and having absolutely no problem with it unlike Pouf does. heck... she even starts crying after Meruem tells her to heal Komugi, because now knowing how much she means to him... the fact that he's counting on her to save this blind girl deeply moved her.
- And now it still continues by Pitou healing and protecting Komugi just like a mother would with their own child, pleading and sacrificing anything else in order to cure her, and not just because the King ordered her to do it... but because now she's also important to her. Just like she said to Gon "she's someone important to someone important to me"....... And Ikalgo has the exact same sentiment towards Palm, he considers her his friend because she's "the friend of a friend", if we believe Ikalgo... then why not Pitou?.
It's because of these reasons that Pitou gained my respect and my forigveness even tho what she did to Kite was terrible. But hey.... Meruem also did some terrible things and people still love him (me included) for all the character development he got........ the only difference is that he didn't mess with a character who is connected the Protagonist, and honestly... Labelling one as "good" and the other as "evil" because of that seems unfair to me.
The Character writing of this Arc is Absolutely Superb.

Yes, that's true but eating the strongest species around is the Chimera Ants whole thing, is in their nature, you don't judge a Lion for eating Zebras right?
The ones who started killing and eating for sport are the truly evil ones, like Rammot, Leol and Cheetu.
And well.... Meruem enslaving a nation cannot be blamed entirely on him, after all conquering the world is his biological goal as the Chimera Ant King (besides eating and reproducing).

18:40 there's the question this arc is asking, also interesting while the King slowly gains a sense of humanity, Gon slowly loses his.

116 has the best voice acting I've heard in anime from Megumi Han, she can go from doing the sweetest voice to Gon's freak out. She's so talented

Hilariously, cheetahs have extremely poor stamina

I posted this, and then at the end of the episode they gave the three minute count. Whoops.

The amount of interest from the low 300's to the 900's is a little over two minutes.

The real line about the cheetah "top speed" is so underwhelming that I don't feel the need clarifying it.
By the way I love the way Gon is sitting at the end.
Very menacing.

116 is my third favorite episode from this arc. The top 2 favorites are coming. It's gonna be good.
Edit: Asking who is the ones being evil here is a good question. It's basically the main point of the arc.

Gon losing his humanity while killua gets in touch with his. Ants being more reasonable than humans. Best arc in anime

"because to you it means nothing" bit of a mistranslation. It's really "because it has nothing to do with you."
Still harsh, but not to /that entire extreme of gon judging killua's feelings like goddang

Regardless of what's going on with Pitou and Gon, Komugi is the real victim and the one I worry form
